Flock - Getting better

I’m back to attempting to find a new browser.  As much as I like Safari it just doesn’t feel right or I’m just bored with the feature set it offers.

I’ve used Firefox on windows for years and probably will continue to do so but I do need something a little funkier when I’m at home on the Mac.

I’ve flirted with Camino in the past and tried and while it offers a pleasant experience – it just doesn’t seem to be of the moment.

Which brings me onto Flock, the self title social web browser I downloaded it some time ago and at the time it wasn’t quite there with it’s conectivity to the social web.

However in recent weeks I’ve re-evaluated it.  The connectivity it now offers with many of todays social sites (networks, media or whatever else we have to call them) is so much better.

The integration with Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube is spot on.  The ability to browse your friends media and have an un-intrusive indicator when they’ve upload new pictures is great.

I’m posting this from within the browser so blog integration is possible even if you don’t use one of the most popular blogging platforms.

All it needs now is further integration with Google’s many services plus personally I’d like integration with Last.fm and Bebo.

Flock is worth while trying and if your a social butterfly could prove invaluable to your online experience.
